Postsecondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) Explorer
The primary data source for this tool is the PSEO Explorer data set, published by the U.S. Census Bureau. The raw data were downloaded from the Data section of the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) program website.
Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)
This tool distinguishes between 2-year and 4-year institutions in the chart displaying earnings ranges. This information is taken from the ICLEVEL variable in the IPEDS Institutional Characteristics Survey - Directory Information. This file can be downloaded from the IPEDS Data Center under the Complete Data Files section.
A small number of institutions in the PSEO data set are not in the IPEDS survey data. The institution type for these colleges and universities was added manually to the data set after review.
